Laguna Niguel, CA - University of La Verrne senior softball pitcher Rachel Rubio was named the SCIAC Pitcher Of The Week.
Rubio enjoyed an incredible four-win week as the University of La Verne swept doubleheaders against No. 12 WPI and formerly ranked Buena Vista University in addition to taking a game versus Manhattanville College. She struck out 24 while surrendering just three walks and 17 hits over 22.2 innings pitched, working around six earned runs to still record four wins and a save in her five appearances.
