The University of La Verne softball team traveled to Cal Lutheran University to finish a three-game SCIAC series on the road. The Leopards looked to improve their 7-11 SCIAC record and 19-16 record overall.  

Game 1: La Verne started the game with two quick runs. Sophomore Erika Garcia singled down center field for an RBI, and Clarissa Salazar kept the rally going by putting one down the line to give the Leopards a 2-0 lead. Cal Lutheran answered with three runs in the third inning and another in the fifth. La Verne was unable to answer, and Cal Lu took the game 4-2.  

Game 2: Cal Lutheran's first game success fired up their bats and the Regals scored seven runs in the first four innings of the second game. The Leopards struggled to get going, remaining scoreless through the sixth. Runs by Taylor Gray and Haylee Hsieh were not enough for the Leopards, and they fell to the Regals 3-8.  

The Leopards will next travel to Orange County to take on Chapman University at 3 P.M, Friday May 5th.
