LA VERNE, CA - The Leopards took on the Cal Lutheran Regals today in game one of a late season SCIAC series match-up.

The Regals took the lead in the first with an unearned run, but the Leopards answered in the bottom of the inning with a single by Marissa Acosta up the middle to tie the game. A homerun by Cal Lu in the second kept the score at 2-1 Cal Lu until Taylor Gray doubled to left center in the 4th for an RBI. The fifth inning was set in motion by Regal fielding errors, and Haylee Hsieh crossed home plate for the Leopard winning run. 

La Verne will travel to Ventura tomorrow to take on the Regals on the road in the final two games of the series.
